We were thrilled to attend the 2020 Mid-America Restaurant in Columbus, Ohio for two days of eye-opening presentations, tasty eats, and the opportunity to meet so many amazing people in the food and beverage industry. Here's a quick recap of some of the highlights.
Our exhibit booth was a popular destination for operators of restaurants, bars, and nightclubs, as everyone was excited to see SpotOn Restaurant, our best-in-class point-of-sale system, up close.
We made sure to catch John Lanni of Thunderdome Restaurant Group talk about technology and how it enabled him to grow his restaurant concept from a single location in a rundown urban area to 44 locations. He's a proud user of SpotOn Restaurant at all 44 locations, and during his presentation, he provided some great insights on everything from digital loyalty programs to online ordering, streamlining operations with his point-of-sale system, and more.
Of course, we also made time to try out as many delicious samples as we could some of our favorites included:
- Velvet Ice Cream, a fourth-generation family business that is home grown in Ohio
- Lyon Bakery, bakers of the finest artisan bread
- World's Perfect Pizza Dogh, a family owned provider of various options of delicious pizza dough and crust
- Natalies OJ, a women-owned and family operated company that provides multiple flavors of juices, all with five ingredients or fewer
