Job Description
SpotOn is driven by innovation and evolution, with the mission of providing powerful software and payment solutions to small and medium-sized business owners—all at an affordable cost.  We have an immediate need for an Email Manager to help us shape and advance the brand.  The Email Manager is responsible for generating several ongoing and ad-hoc emails with various target audiences, such as.
  • Weekly recurrent sales call schedules 
  • New marketing collateral announcements
  • Press release notifications
  • Cross- and up-sell campaigns
  • Onboarding and training campaigns
  • Ad hoc company announcements
 

Objectives of this Role

  • Own the ongoing and ad hoc production and deployment of all the company emails

  • Maintain ownership of email as a communications channel in our marketing automation platform(s) 

  • Support the marketing team across a range of marketing and communications needs
  • Ensure team adheres to current processes, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and proposing and creating processes and tools 
  • Own reporting as it pertains to email marketing, reporting back to key stakeholders, post campaign(s)
  • Seek and recommend a/b and multivariate testing opportunities with email marketing
  • Always seek for continuous improvement with brand deliverables, even after delivery
 
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
  • Work with the entire creative team to establish a unified brand understanding and voice for the company--digest and adhere to company brand standards
  • Execute campaign vision, harnessing original graphics, copy, content websites, social media, and other marketing materials
  • Obtain stakeholder approval by presenting final email visual look and feel, layouts, testing strategy, etc. 
  • Organize and catalog visual assets for easy internal reference--maintain marketing automation system hygiene and organization as it pertains to email
 
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital marketing, communications, or similar discipline
  • 4+ years as a professional email specialist/manager 
  • Marketing automation platforms understanding; specialization in HubSpot and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Skilled team communicator
  • Have a solid knowledge of email testing strategies and reporting principles 
  • Inspires and leads by example, setting professional standards--must be comfortable with taking ownership with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of HubSpot and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud (for context we’re on HubSpot, but will be migrating to SMC this year)
