Digital rewards company announces recent increase in merchant and user sign-ups since its launch in July 2012

San Rafael, Calif., April 26, 2013 - SpotOn ( www.spoton.com), the leading digital platform for customer loyalty and engagement, today announced a total of more than 1,100 signed merchants in Southern California since its launch in July 2012. With this, an estimated 175,000 consumers are currently using the tablet-based incentive program in the Southern California marketplace, which includes the San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles and Inland Empire regions.

SpotOn's growth is accelerating with more than 50 percent of its merchants having signed up over the last three months, totaling more than 5,500 businesses nationwide.

"Southern California was one of SpotOn's first markets, and continues to be one of our fastest-growing areas to date," said Zachary Hyman, co-founder of SpotOn. "These local business owners have fully embraced the benefits that come with smart customer loyalty programs, and with good reason--many of our Southern California merchants are seeing some of the biggest revenue increases of any company we work with nationally."

SpotOn aims to help business owners maximize repeat customers, strengthen off-peak business, and increase revenue by providing a platform for data that is both accessible and actionable. For the customer, no punch cards or credit cards are involved in any SpotOn rewards transaction.

"We put SpotOn in four of our stores back in November and find our customers loving it so much that they're bringing new friends to our store to sign them up too," said Leandra Gomez, Marketing & Sales Manager at Hacienda Heights Pizza in Los Angeles. "It's such a quick and user-friendly process that it doesn't mess up our 'flow' at the counter, but it still allows for our employees to engage with the customer over SpotOn's rewards."

SpotOn's loyalty program is suitable for any type of business, featuring the capability to create rewards that fit each business' specific services and offerings.

"SpotOn is really a fool-proof program for our business. We love that we are able to create rewards specific to our needs and change them based on our marketing focus, at any given time," said Chris Martin, General Manager at The Meathouse in Mission Viejo. "We've only been using it for two and a half months and with the easy tracking and admin tools on the back end, we're able to see just how many return customers we're getting and who they are. We haven't had that information until now."

With hundreds of tablets in small businesses throughout Southern California, SpotOn is also pursuing new ways to support merchants in running their businesses better, putting more effective payment systems in place and achieving greater growth.
