Tenth City in Less Than a Year Embraces Tech to Reward Customers, Improve Loyalty and Grow Business

SAN RAFAEL, Ca., March 26, 2013 - SpotOn (www.spoton.com), a digital loyalty network for local merchants and consumers, today announced it has launched in Denver, Colorado, one of the top U.S. cities for small businesses. With SpotOn’s entry into the Mile-High City, local merchants can now connect with and reward loyal customers in fun and creative ways, while using data to increase their bottom lines.

The Denver market, which also includes Colorado Springs and Boulder, is the tenth major city to start using SpotOn since July 2012. Through its platform, SpotOn helps merchants digitize the punch card, communicate more effectively with customers and grow their businesses in ways not possible with traditional loyalty programs.

"All business owners know the importance of creating strong relationships with their customers, but the reality is, many don’t have the time, experience or tools to do so," said Zachary Hyman, co-founder of SpotOn. "With SpotOn, merchants now have an easy-to-use system to do it all. They can track customer check-ins, create special offers, send email messages, use social media and even pull data to improve their businesses."

As of March 1, 2013, SpotOn’s loyalty tablets are now available in more than 50 Denver-area businesses, including Biker Jim’s, L&L Hawaiian BBQ and Buttercup's Frozen Yogurt. The company expects to sign-up 1,000 area merchants by the end of 2013.

"Denver has a culture of loyalty—loyalty to its sports teams, its active lifestyles and way of life, and its small businesses," Hyman continued. "We’re excited to give the community another way to build loyalty for the things they love, as well as make a lasting impact on the local economy."

SpotOn has launched in nine other cities in less than a year: New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Dallas, Austin, Miami, Atlanta and Houston. SpotOn’s growth in these areas has been substantial—600 NYC businesses signed up in the first four months alone—as local merchants are quickly catching on to the benefits of the platform. Since July 2012, more than 5,500 small businesses nationwide use SpotOn and hundreds more are signing up each month to experience real ROI, such as revenue increases of over 30 percent.
