The digital rewards program emerges in the loyalty space for local merchants and consumers
SAN RAFAEL, Ca., February 20, 2013 - SpotOn (www.spoton.com), the leading digital platform for customer loyalty and engagement, today announced a total of over 300 signed merchants in San Diego, since its launch in July 2012. With this, an estimated 40,000 local consumers are currently using the SpotOn loyalty program in the San Diego marketplace.
SpotOn’s growth is accelerating with more than 50 percent of its merchants having signed up over the last three months; totaling more than 5,000 businesses nationwide.
"We've used our own business experience to identify the needs of both the business owner and the customer to create the perfect equation for sustainable results," said Brett Weiss, Southern California Regional Director for SpotOn. "We’re thrilled with the feedback we’ve received from our merchants on how SpotOn is simplifying the way in which they communicate with and learn about their customers."
According to its website, SpotOn aims to help business owners maximize repeat customers, strengthen off-peak business, and increase revenue by providing a platform for data that is both accessible and actionable. For the customer, no punch cards or credit cards are involved in any SpotOn rewards transaction.
"I’ve been using the SpotOn program in my quick-service restaurant locations for three months now, and already my sales have increased by 30 percent," said Larry Dockstader, Franchisee of two Submarina locations, one being the largest in the San Diego area. "SpotOn’s marketing tools allow me to stay in touch with existing customers and generate traffic in a variety of ways."
SpotOn welcomes any local merchant to sign up for its program, each with the capability to determine their own rewards and tailor them to their business’ offerings.
"As a business owner, it’s all about how you utilize the program. I run contests and create deals that I know will bring customers in on a given day," said Dockstader. "With SpotOn’s technology, business has never been better and my customer database is consistently growing."
With hundreds of tablets in small businesses throughout San Diego, SpotOn is also pursuing new ways to support merchants in running their businesses better, putting more effective payment systems in place and achieving greater growth.
