San Francisco, CA – August 19, 2025 — SpotOn, the leading restaurant management system trusted by independent restaurants nationwide, today announced a partnership with Giving Kitchen, the award-winning nonprofit providing emergency assistance to food service workers in crisis. The move reinforces SpotOn’s commitment to “actually give a sh*t” about the people who keep the doors open, the plates full, and the lights on in restaurants across America.
Through this partnership, SpotOn will become a partner of Giving Kitchen, providing support to the organization, including a direct corporate donation, an employee matching & volunteering program, national brand awareness, and rallying its network of restaurant clients and partners for the cause. The company will also sponsor Giving Kitchen’s 2025 Dining with Gratitude campaign—a month-long, coast-to-coast effort that unites operators, suppliers, and vendors to raise critical funds for food service workers during their darkest moments.
“Independent restaurants are at the heart of our business and our communities, but we know the incredible pressures operators and their teams face—often without a safety net,” said Kevin Bryla, Chief Marketing Officer, SpotOn. “Partnering with Giving Kitchen lets us stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the restaurant community, offering not just technology, but real support when it matters most.”
As part of the collaboration, SpotOn and Giving Kitchen will:
- Bring people together by co-hosting events and campaigns in key markets to raise money and shed light on the realities that food service workers face.
- Amplify Giving Kitchen’s mission and resources nationwide by introducing their brand and support services to restaurants across America.
- Put faces to the fight by collaborating on storytelling campaigns to highlight the people who have turned to Giving Kitchen for help, putting their stories front and center to drive change.
Since 2013, Giving Kitchen has provided more than $15 million in financial assistance and stability resources to over 31,000 food service workers—offering hope, dignity, and a way forward when life knocks them down.
“SpotOn isn’t just talking about supporting food service workers; they’re showing up with real action," said Giving Kitchen's Founder, Jen Hidinger-Kendrick. "Their support allows us to extend a helping hand to even more food service workers when life takes an unexpected turn. Together, we’re standing behind the hardworking individuals who bring our restaurants—and our communities—to life. It’s partnerships like these that remind us what’s possible when we care for each other.”
