Dockside tech hurdles
As a 230-seat restaurant on a dock, The Mudpuppy faced many tech challenges. The Wi-Fi often cut out when servers went out of range, making dockside and cabin ordering with handhelds difficult. Managers were also spending a lot of time in the office: two hours nightly for tip management and two hours bi-weekly on payroll. Not to mention, servers wanted their tips daily, instead of every payday.
